Erasmus + programme

The Erasmus + programme is an integral part of the international component of the overall strategy of the University of Rennes 1, which is closely linked to the priorities of the European educational area and the expansion of international mobility.

The Erasmus + programme participates in the implementation of the institutional strategy of modernisation of our university, as the actions of the programme allow the strengthening and development of cooperation at European and international level, and offers students, as well as staff, the opportunity to gain international experience.

Each year, more than 350 students from the University of Rennes 1 benefit from an Erasmus + scholarship, and about fifty staff members carry out mobility. The University of Rennes 1 has set itself the objective of increasing physical, virtual or hybrid mobility by 50% over the next seven years, an objective which is also at the heart of the European University EDUC project.

Our university is also pursuing the development of synergies between teaching, research and innovation, notably through the actions of the European University EDUC and the KA3 project "Online Pedagogical Resources for European Universities".

At the local level, in order to promote dialogue between the academic world, civil society and political decision-makers, and to raise awareness of European issues among students, the University of Rennes 1 continues to be involved in the Jean Monnet actions.
