Interlibrary loan service

For Whom?

This service is aimed at libraries and information centers that do not benefit from the Supeb system.

Individual requests must be processed through a library loan service.

What kind of documents?

You can borrow any document available for loan on the Library catalog or any document described in the Sudoc as available for interlibrary loan.

The document may be a book, a thesis, a microform, or the photocopy of periodical articles.

Documents printed before 1915 are not available for loan.

Your request must bear the following information:

  • name and address of the library or institution putting in the request;
  • name of the individual for whom the request is being filed;
  • full reference and description of the document requested.

What are the loan charges?

For university libraries (not affiliated to Supeb):

  • photocopies: 6 € for every unit of 50 pages;
  • book loan: 7 €;
  • faxes: 4 € for the first page, 1 € for every other page.

For public or private institutions (all libraries or documentation centers, except university libraries):

  • photocopies: 12.50 € plus VAT for every unit of 50 pages;
  • book loan: 12,50 € plus VAT (if obtained by university libraries network), full cost otherwise;
  • faxes: 4 € plus VAT for the first page, 1 € plus VAT for every other page.

Loan privileges

All documents borrowed must be returned within 28 days.

The borrower is answerable for all documents lent.
