Disabled students
The University of Rennes 1 offers a welcoming service to any student facing handicap, whether permanently or temporarily. Its dedicated department, the CUAEH, aims at allowing disabled students to pursue their studies in the best conditions. To do that, a doctor will consider the solutions available for each student on a case-by-case basis.
The CUAEH helps disabled students through various actions and tasks, including:
accessibility of the buildings and sites of the University;
- management of the specialized equipment;
- relationships with disabled persons' associations;
- organization of academic support (notetaking, educational support);
- adjustments to the curriculum and its organization;
- adjustments to the assessment;
- co-operation with other higher education institutions;
- relationships between secondary and higher education;
- administrative support (in particular cases).
