9th IEEE EMBS International Summer School on Biomedical Imaging
Jean-Louis Coatrieux (LTSI, university of Rennes 1) and Christian Roux (LaTIM, Enst Bretagne) co-chairs the 9th IEEE EMBS International Summer School on Biomedical Imaging which held from June 18-26, 2010 at Berder Island, Brittany, France. The Summer School is open to graduate students (M.S., Ph.D.), post doctoral scientists, radiologists and biologists, researchers and engineers in industry.
The objective of the School is to provide the participants with up-to-date, state-of-the-art knowledge on emerging areas in biomedical engineering.
The 2010 edition is focused on the functional modeling the human physiology. The lectures will address important issues in Biomedical Imaging dealing with optical imaging, molecular imaging, ultrasound, segmentation and analysis as well as computer assisted surgery.
Informal and warm, in a place where the sea and the land combine in a time varying relation, this school brings together, every two years for almost ten days, the world’s great teachers and researchers in Biomedical Engineering.
The spirit of this Summer School is inspired by the most prestigious school ever founded in France, Saint-Flour, whose influence in Mathematics has spread to generations of researchers.
