The University of Rennes 1 is one of the two universities in the city of Rennes, France. It is a multidisciplinary institution consisting of three main scientific areas:
- Science, Technology, Engineering and Health;
- Law, Politics, Economics, Management and Administration Science;
- Human Sciences (Philosophy and Communication).

The University of Rennes 1 (Istic) proudly participates in the EIT ICT Labs Master School with more than 10 of the top European universities in ICT.
University Rennes 1 offers the EIT ICT Labs master program on Distributed Systems and Services, preparing students for international carriers in the digital economy at the cross-road of distributed systems, telecommunications, cloud computing, social networks, internet of things, etc.
